Haruo Akimaru

Biography
Haruo Akimaru received his doctorate in engineering from Tokohu University. Sandai. Japan. He worked at NTT Electronic Communications Labs researching stitching. signaling and network design theory. Later. he was appointed professor at Toyohashi University of Technology. Asahi. Dr. Akimaru became dean of the school of business administration and chair of the graduate program in information management sciences at Asahi University.
Dr. Akimaru served as guest editor on several issues of IEEE Communications Magazine.
Akimaru died on July 6th, 2002.
