There are four phases to the STARS Program.
(1) Candidates: GHN contributors may suggest achievements they believe are worthy of STARS status.
'IEEE STARS Candidates'
(2) Proposals: A GHN contributor may propose to create a single STARS Article from one or more Candidates or from part of a Candidate.
'IEEE STARS Proposals'
(3) Articles Under Review: A submitted Article appears, in near final form, on the GHN for at least four weeks before it is approved for STARS status.
'IEEE STARS Articles Under Review'
(4) IEEE STARS: Approved Articles are displayed as STARS on the GHN STARS portal.
