Biography

Arthur Frederick Rupp (? – 2005) was a chemical engineering graduate of Purdue University. Rupp joined the Manhattan Project in 1943 at the University of Chicago. As the project expanded, he also served at the Hanford research facility in Richland, Washington, and then at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for 30 years. Rupp served in many capacities at ORNL such as reactor operations, waste disposal, and maintenance, but his passion was creation of the isotope development program which he headed.

He passed away on November 10, 2005.
