One of the AN/UYK-44 standard minicomputer’s multilayer silicon substrate printed circuit cards. The silicon layers were very effective in conducting heat out to the metal edge rim, and allowed a high density of integrated circuit packaging. This card was from an early test production run, and one can see some hard wires near the center that were added to correct circuit errors. Photo by the author.
