In 1967 the Ohio Brass Company purchased 50 acres northwest of Wadsworth, Ohio to build the F. B. Black Ohio Brass Research Center and the new outdoor high voltage testing laboratory. This photo is a close-up of the three 750 kv test transformers mounted on top of their porcelain post pedestals. The old Ohio Insulator transformer bushings were replaced with new Ohio Brass capacitor bushings. A ten unit 2000 kv capacitor voltage divider is connected to the output of the high transformer. The large circular building in the background is used to test contaminated insulators under fog conditions. Test voltages were brought into the fog chamber by the large high voltage wall bushing shown on the right side of the chamber.
