Detail of section of group photograph dated 19 October 1923 taken at the Edison Pioneers offices of the original "Edison Pioneers" who worked with inventor Thomas A. Edison, in some cases as early as at the Ward Street location in Newark, New Jersey - and later on at Edison's relocated offices and laboratory at Menlo Park, New Jersey - and finally at the West Orange, New Jersey facilities of Thomas A. Edison, Inc.

Detail shows the noted Francis Jehl, who was a close associate of inventor Edison and was the author of a detailed three part history book series called "Menlo Park Reminiscences." Here we see a proudly beaming Francis Jehl with behind him a first form Edison chandelier with original first form "1880 Wire Terminal Base" Edison electric light sockets and electric incandescent light bulbs.

Francis Jehl worked close with Thomas A. Edison and was present at most of the inventor's historic developments, including the invention of the incandescent electric light. This detail is from an historic photograph that bears the provenance of the estate of Thomas A. Edison, Glenmont, Lewellyn Park, West Orange, New Jersey and was discovered by American historian and archivist Richard Warren Lipack.
